Where We Work
Blue Earth County is home ground, and Mankato and North Mankato are its two cities, split by the Minnesota River. Sewer here stops at the city edges. Everything past those lines, and nearly all of the surrounding country, runs on a septic system, and that is our whole map.
The work crosses several counties, and that matters more here than in most places, because each county is its own permitting authority under the same state rules. Mankato and most of the towns south of it sit in Blue Earth County. North Mankato, across the river, is in Nicollet County. The work runs out toward Le Sueur, Waseca, Watonwan, and Faribault counties as well. We file with the right one for your parcel, so a cross-county lot does not stall.
The ground changes across that map, but the theme holds. Heavy Minnesota River valley clay and dense glacial till drain slowly, and a high seasonal water table climbs in the river bottoms and low ground. Both limit a buried drainfield and push designs toward a mound. The soil evaluation is how we read which way your specific lot goes.
New construction is a big part of the work out here. Mankato and North Mankato keep pushing homes past the sewer, and the townships around them are filling with acreage homesites near Eagle Lake, Le Ray, and Lime. We also replace and convert older systems that have finally given out on country places around Lake Crystal, Mapleton, and Amboy.
